Northern Spark 2017
Together with six friends from Transition Twin Cities I participated in Northern Spark 2017, a free, all-night art event exploring the effects of climate change through participatory projects in neighborhoods along Metro Transit’s Green Line.
The purpose of our project — The Grove of Life — was to share with others what we are doing to reduce climate change. We were located in the lovely patio of Golden’s Deli, right across from the St. Paul Farmers Market.
All through the night, we asked visitors to the Grove to write their earth care promises and practices on paper leaves.
Below are a few images from our community work parties that helped us prepare for the the event. Over 60 volunteers, young and old, helped us out. We worked in the wonderful studios of Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
